Computer Recyclers

Computer recyclers such as Gigacycle comply with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE) to recycle or reuse computer waste and electrical waste. It is a requirement to be registered as a waste carrier for computer recycling with the Environment Agency.

Computers usually carry data which means the recycling process is dependent on data erasure. As a result, computer recyclers needs to be registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). A lot of computer recyclers do not understand the importance of accrediting themselves with the appropriate credentials which is where Gigacycle is a more suitable option than other computer recyclers.
