Why is data destruction important?

Data destruction is critical to ensure sensitive information held on redundant IT assets doesn’t fall into the wrong hands. It is important to select a fully accredited ITAD partner as your company data processor in accordance with GDPR. Gigacycle will only re-use items that have been fully data sanitised with all data destruction certification provided to our clients.

Is data destroyed before or after assets leave our site on a collection?

Data can be destroyed either on-site or off-site, depending on your requirements. Most clients prefer to have all equipment collected and all data processing to be completed at our secure facility. Should you require an on-site media destruction service this is something that we can arrange.

Do you provide certificates of data destruction?

The same equipment is utilised for on-site destruction or destruction at our secure facility.
